Dr. Mukesh Taneja is a highly accomplished Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery specialist with over 30 years of experience in ophthalmology. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Cornea Services & Research at Indira Gandhi Eye Hospital, Gurugram.
A graduate of the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi, Dr. Taneja completed his Diploma in Ophthalmology (DO) and Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology from Guru Nanak Eye Centre, Delhi. He further pursued advanced Fellowship training in Cornea and Anterior Segment at the renowned LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI), Hyderabad, one of the world’s leading eye care institutions.
Dr. Taneja's international experience includes a Research Fellowship at the world-renowned Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, USA, consistently ranked among the top eye hospitals globally. He has also served as Chief Ophthalmologist at Khmer Sight Foundation, Cambodia, where he contributed significantly to advancing eye care services and training programs.
Prior to joining Indira Gandhi Eye Hospital, Dr. Taneja spent over a decade as Faculty in the Cornea Department at LV Prasad Eye Institute and worked as Consultant Ophthalmologist at leading institutions including Max Hospital and Sant Parmanand Hospital, Delhi.
