Dr Mukesh Taneja did his Post-graduation and Senior Residency from prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College and Guru Nanak Eye Centre, New Delhi, followed by a fellowship in Cornea & Anterior Segment at world renowned LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad in the year 2001-2. He worked as Consultant at Max Hospital and Sant Parmanand Hospital in New Delhi from 2003-2008 before joining back at L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad in 2008, where he continued as Faculty in Cornea and Anterior Segment Services for 11 years till year 2019.

Dr Taneja also worked as Postdoctoral Research Fellow for one year at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Miami, which is rated as number one Eye Institute in USA with Prof. Jean-Marie Parel at Ophthalmic Biophysics Center and Dr Sonia Yoo in the year 2013-14.

Before relocating back to Delhi, he was instrumental in setting up and running the International Iclinic in Cambodia as Chief Ophthalmologist under the banner of Khmer Sight Foundation in collaboration with Professor Sunil Shah from Birmingham, UK from January, 2020 to June, 2021.

His areas of specialization are corneal diseases, corneal graft and limbal stem cell transplantation, in addition to LASIK and Cataract Surgery (Phacoemulsification).

He is experienced in the treatment of corneal opacities, keratoconus, infective corneal ulcers, dry eyes, chemical injuries and trauma.

He has several publications and presentations to his credit both in national and international forums and is actively involved in research in the field of cornea, dry eyes and myopia.
