IGEHRC Raebareli

IGEHRC Raebareli, which began operation on 26 February 2023, is the fifth hospital to join the IGEHRC group, in line with the group’s vision to bring quality affordable eye care to an increasingly larger number of people, especially those that have been excluded from access to good eye care. A vision centre that operated in this location since 2011 has been transformed into a hospital to cater the nearby deprived areas, particularly in Raebareli and neighbouring districts, whose residents had to travel to Lucknow for treatment.

All major ophthalmology subspecialties services such as Cataract, Refractive Services, Glaucoma, Cornea, Paediatric and Oculoplasty, to name a few, are available at Raebareli in conjunction with the most advanced technology. The hospital is managed by experienced and professional doctors, with the assistance of well-trained staff.

  • State-of-the-art micro incision cataract surgery with phacoemulsification OZIL technology (Centurion Vision System) with the availability of all advanced and premium lenses.

  • Therapeutic and diagnostic capabilities to handle various disorders of cornea including mechanical and chemical injuries.

  • Assessment of low vision and prescription of low vision devices such as telescope and magnifiers, etc.
  • Management of paediatric diseases such as refractive errors, congenital cataract, congenital glaucoma, vitamin A deficiency, congenital NLD obstruction squint and amblyopia. With specialisation in strabismus ('crossed eyes'') and amblyopia ("lazy eyes") and full eye examination of infants and children.
